OUR VISION

ABOVE ALL, A SOEUR GARMENT IS MADE TO STAND THE TEST OF TIME

Soeur believes in a vision of timeless fashion, where pieces are passed on and stand the test of time. This vision guides our ambition to improve each of our collections, season after season.

As part of this commitment to longevity, we prioritise the recyclability of our products at the end of their life by choosing single-fibre materials wherever possible. In 2025, more than 75% of our textile pieces were made from a single material.

We believe in timeless fashion that lasts and can be worn in any season. That is why we created a permanent collection, "Wardrobe".

OUR FIRST PRINCIPLE

LONG-TERM, LOCAL RELATIONSHIPS

In 2025, nearly 65% of our pieces were produced in nearby regions (Europe and North Africa).

Our approach to slow fashion places importance not only on the longevity of our pieces, but also on lasting relationships with our partners. 43% of them have worked with us for more than five years.  These suppliers know our products and our standards, and work with us to improve our designs. That is why we do not judge our partnerships by geography alone. Nevertheless, we do all we can to develop new local partnerships in Europe and North Africa.

These long-term commitments give our partners the financial stability they need to introduce social programmes in their factories and improve their own production chains.

OUR CONVICTION

BETTER KNOWLEDGE FOR BETTER PRODUCTION: TRACEABILITY

Traceability is the first priority of our approach to social and environmental responsibility, and it is essential. It enables us to carry out social audits, improve our processes and offer our customers transparency by knowing where and how each stage of production takes place.

In March 2022, Soeur joined the ICS (Initiative for Compliance and Sustainability) to assess its suppliers’ working conditions and support them in making improvements. This helps us reduce social and environmental risks.

In 2025, nearly 95% of tier 1* suppliers were audited using rigorous social assessment methodologies, including the ICS, BSCI and SMETA standards. We also extended our audit strategy to our tier 2* and tier 3* partners, auditing 64% and 49% of known suppliers respectively.

*DID YOU KNOW?

The making of a garment involves four main stages: the production and extraction of raw materials; the processing of raw materials into yarn (spinning); weaving, knitting, dyeing or printing; and finally garment manufacturing. As a brand, we are in direct contact with garment manufacturers (tier 1) and sometimes with suppliers of materials and yarns (tier 2 and 3). Tier 4 is the furthest upstream stage of the textile production chain: the production of raw materials. It is the hardest link to trace. Prompted by the introduction of the French AGEC law, we ask our suppliers about the origins of the preceding stages.

Our environmental impact

Towards collections with higher standards

When developing our collections, we take care to prioritise raw materials that meet our own material standards, set out in our impact report (available to download below). Continuing to question our approach, we chose in 2023 to make our definition more demanding. Viscose and Oeko-Tex certification alone are no longer enough for a material to be considered responsible at Soeur (except in the case of silk).

The Spring–Summer 2025 and Fall–Winter 2025 collections each include 64% pieces that meet Soeur’s responsible-material standards, exceeding our 44% target.

The Spring–Summer 2026 collection already contains 72% products that meet these standards.

When it comes to manufacturing, we are continually looking for techniques that limit resource use or releases into the environment. Collaborations often give us an opportunity to experiment with new materials: with Léandra Medine Cohen, we selected fabrics from stock used in previous collections. With K-way®, we tested a 100% recycled material developed by their team.

our commitment

a committed team

We believe the brand’s commitment depends on a shared commitment from everyone on our team to bring our projects and vision to life. In 2025, three of our colleagues had been trained to facilitate Climate Fresk workshops. We also provide training for head-office staff to raise awareness of climate issues.

OUR SECOND-HAND PLATFORM

TOWARDS MORE CIRCULAR FASHION

SOEUR believes in circular fashion: pieces that are passed on and stand the test of time. To take this commitment further, Soeur is launching Soeur Second Hand, a platform where you can buy pre-owned pieces or resell Soeur pieces you no longer wear in exchange for an immediate voucher, redeemable online or in store.

Buying a second-hand garment means choosing not to have another new garment made. Fewer raw materials extracted, fewer resources used in production, fewer new garments brought to market. By giving your Soeur clothes a second life, or buying them pre-owned, you extend their use.

A tangible way to move towards more circular fashion.
