Women’s trousers in the archives sale

If one piece could sum up the Soeur look, it would probably be wide-leg trousers. Cut like men’s trousers, with pleats at the waist and legs that fall straight to the floor, they have a prominent place in the archives sale, alongside straight-leg trousers and more flowing styles from previous collections, all offered at reduced prices. They are a piece to wear from Monday to Sunday, chosen to last.

A piece that tells the house’s story

Trousers tell the story of Soeur well. Borrowing the cut and pleats of a man’s suit, the house has created a feminine silhouette that never sacrifices comfort. It allows freedom of movement, from the metro to the office, without feeling restricted. This approach, unchanged since 2007, is why trousers from a past collection can still be worn today without looking dated.

Choosing the cut and fabric

Wide-leg wool trousers, often cut from wool cloth or flannel, keep you warm without weighing down the silhouette and can be worn from the office to the weekend. In cotton or linen, the same cut feels lighter for warmer days. Straight-leg trousers, with a crease down the front, keep a clean line that gives the outfit structure. To choose the right size, the simplest approach is to compare the measurements on the product page with those of trousers you already wear. Pleated trousers, with folds beneath the belt, add volume at the hips while making the ankle look slimmer, especially with ankle boots, a cut inherited from men’s tailoring that the house revisits season after season. In colour, charcoal grey, navy and shades of beige form a foundation that works with the whole wardrobe.

What to wear with them

Wide-leg trousers call for a shorter or tucked-in top to keep the proportions balanced, whether a poplin shirt, a cotton T-shirt or a cropped knit. For a more relaxed look, Denim Archives also offers straight and wide-leg jeans. For the evening, flowing trousers with a silk shirt make an elegant outfit. The shoes do the rest, from flats for a day at the office to ankle boots in winter.
